Where to start with Rent-A-Girlfriend

Five seasons of twelve, in order, and nothing else is required. The shorts are side material and the live action is a separate retelling. The one thing worth knowing before you start is that season five is the back half of what was meant to be season four, so the jump between them is a cour break rather than a real gap.

  1. 1
    Season one, twelve episodes Rent-A-Girlfriend

The setup, and the only part that has to come first.

  2. 2
    Season two, twelve episodes Rent-A-Girlfriend

Straight on, two years later in production and immediately after in story.

  3. 3
    Season three, twelve episodes Rent-A-Girlfriend

    Continues directly.

  4. 4
    Season four, twelve episodes Rent-A-Girlfriend

The first half of what was planned as a twenty four episode run.

  5. 5
    Season five, twelve episodes Rent-A-Girlfriend

The second half of that same planned run, retitled as its own season. Watch it right after season four and it plays as one continuous twenty four.

Then what? The shorts and mini anime can be skipped entirely and nothing in the main series refers to them. The ten episode live action drama from 2022 retells the opening with actors. A sixth season is announced with no date, adapting the Cohabitation arc.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
